What is HITCON
There is no black and white in the field of pure technology. We think hackers represent the spirit of superb technology and challenge.
Different from the seminar with strong commercial nature, the annual hacker conference in Taiwan provides a stage for hackers to share the latest and most in-depth information security technology, face-to-face exchange of experience and free dialogue with you. The conference is very cautious about the contents of the agenda. We hope to ensure that the contents of the annual hacker conference are security research without commercial color, the latest trend discussion, or hacker technology of enough standard. We also hope that every speech is the topic that participants want to focus on most.
The annual hacker conference in Taiwan is a gathering of hackers. It is an annual party of hackers. In addition to technology sharing, you can also experience the real hacker culture. Under the communication between hacker and hacker community, there are often the latest, most interesting and most sensitive topics. We welcome all those who are interested in information security to participate in this annual event.
HITCON Community
Hitcon community is not only the most comprehensive pure technology resource security seminar in China, but also a diversified carnival. In addition to the wonderful technology agenda, it also plans a series of resource security related activities. For example, various social activities stalls, hack2own competitions, and wonderful flower awards enable every friend who is interested in Zian, whether expert hackers or entrants, to gain and enjoy themselves in this grand event.
Taiwan has always been the best place for the development of all kinds of information communities, and the asset security community is no exception. We hope to maintain the hitcon tradition and grow together with the domestic and foreign safe communities. In order to promote the inheritance of community power, this year's conference also specially set up a community exclusive agenda to encourage communities to stand on hitcon stage to display research results and promote their own spirit, so that hitcon is not only hitcon, but also a national asset security event.

Flower Award
Since 2013, hitcon has not only arranged a wonderful agenda, but also held a "wonderful flower Award" activity.
The "wonderful work Award" is a special program on the agenda of the annual hacker conference in Taiwan. The so-called "wonderful work" is often used to describe unusual or extraordinary things. The purpose of the "wonderful work Award" is to recognize the efforts of the wonderful work hackers, as well as all kinds of wonderful work and respectable events in the past year, hoping to add more colors to the agenda in a relaxed and humorous atmosphere, And promote the attention of Taiwan society to the asset security incident.
In addition to the annual awards on the agenda, hitcon is also on Facebook We have set up a wonderful work award discussion area, which allows you to not only know about the information security events during the activity, but also share them in the discussion area after the activity, so that you can immediately know the latest wonderful work information security events, and discuss and exchange experiences with each other. The 78 Award
Since 2013, HITCON not only arranges marvelous sessions, but also this special event: “The 78 Award”.
“The 78 Award” is a unique event among HITCON events. “78” is often used to describe things that are bizzare or extraordinary. Therefore, the goal of “The 78 Award” is to give credit to the efforts of those “78” hackers and the many respectful “78” events in the past year. Hopefully, having some humor in the air can bring more diversity and attention to Information Security events in Taiwan society.
Other than the annual HITCON “78” award ceromony, we also have a discussion group “The 78 Awards” on Facebook. This is the place to learn about Information Security events during HITCON sessions, and continue to share and discuss about the “78” events even after the sessions have finished. We welcome you all to join “The 78 Award” Facebook goup and follow up on the latest, bizarre securtiy anecdotes.

- On the opening day of the event, the detailed rules of the competition will be explained and the title website will be published.
- The first page of the device replacement will be in the specified format until the last minute of the competition to get the prize (the specified format is "hacked by" and the bottom line is your nickname registered on the website).
- Each conference room has its own corresponding Raspberry Pi Challenge, you may start the challenge once you connect to the room’s WIFI.
- The game specifics will be given on the opening day along with the web URL of the challenge.
- Whoever replaced the homepage of the device with the specified format at the last moment of this Challenge can win the award. (Specified format: “Hackedy by _______”, use the nickname registered on-line)

All audiences, speakers, sponsors and volunteers of this event must agree to abide by the following code of conduct. We look forward to the cooperation of all participants to ensure a safe and friendly environment.
Harassment includes aggressive speech about gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, body type, race, religion, or the dissemination of pornographic pictures in public, deliberate intimidation, tracking, harassing photography or video, multiple interruptions, inappropriate physical contact, and uncomfortable sexual attention. Participants must stop any harassment and comply with the code of conduct immediately.
Sponsors must also adhere to the code of conduct. Sponsors should not use sexually meaningful images, events, or other materials. Staff (including volunteers) should not wear sexual clothing / uniforms / costumes or create a sexual environment.
If the participants engage in harassment, the staff will take any means they think appropriate, including warning or asking to leave the venue, and will not refund the fee.
If you are harassed, see someone else harassed, or have any other questions, please contact the meeting staff immediately, who will wear special identification badges or clothes.
Staff will be happy to help participants contact the hotel / venue guard or local police, provide escorts, or otherwise help those who encounter harassment feel safe. We attach great importance to your participation.

Conference Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree to following the code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code of conduct throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/customes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff will be visible by their special badges and clothing.
Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance. We expect participants to follow these rules at all conference venues and conference-related social Events.

Notice conference hall
- Please wear identification card during the meeting. If not, you will not be able to enter the meeting hall. The staff will block you out. Please remember to take it out when you leave the meeting hall.
- It is strictly forbidden to eat and drink in the conference hall. Please enjoy the snacks and drinks outside the conference hall before entering the conference hall.
- In order to protect other people's right to listen to the agenda, please give the seat to others when leaving the seat for a long time. Do not use personal belongings to occupy the seat, otherwise the staff will remove the occupied items and will not be responsible for their safekeeping.
- It is recommended that you use your own environmentally friendly tableware. Paper cups will also be provided, but please reuse them.
- When you are free, you can go to the stall area to have a look or participate in other activities of the conference. You can get unexpected benefits if you have the chance!
- If you have any questions or lost items in the venue, please go to the service office to ask the staff.
- Please wear your badge at all times throughout the event. Without the badge you will NOT be able to enter the conference rooms. Make sure to bring the badge with you if you have to leave for a moment.
- Eating and drinking are NOT allowed in the conference rooms. Please finish your food or drinks outside before you enter.
- For the convenience of all participants, please yield your seat to the others if you are not coming back in an extended period of time. From time to time the HITCON staffs will remove the belongings left unattended and will NOT be responsible for keeping them.
- You are encouraged to bring reusable utensils. Paper cups will be provided, but please reuse them to avoid unnecessary waste.
- Visit the booths or participate in the activities when you have time. It may be your lucky day!

Precautions - Network / notice - Internet
- This is hitcon. The organizer does not guarantee the security of the network!
- Any type of cyber attack is prohibited in the venue, and violators will be forced out.
- All the seats on site are equipped with wired network holes and power outlets. If you use Apple computer, please make sure to prepare the extension cable by yourself so as not to occupy too many connectors.
- Wireless network SSID will start with hitcon. Please pay attention to the number of the conference hall and give priority to 5GHz wireless network name.
- The seats are equipped with internet access. Please remember to take the internet route, which will not be provided. 2.4GHz & 5GHz wireless network is also provided in the venue. However, due to security and stability considerations, it is recommended that you give priority to wired network.
- If you need to use 3G network card or smart phone, please use USB connection to use 3G Internet instead of setting up AP in the venue.
- The network security and connection safety are NOT guaranteed, for this is HITCON. Any types of cyber attacks are strictly prohibited. Violators will be forced to leave.
- There are LAN and power sockets available near the seats. For Mac computer users, please remember to bring an extension cord so that other sockets will not be blocked.
- Wireless network service will be provided at the conference with SSID names beginning with "HITCON." Please pay attention to the conference room you're in and connect to the 5 Ghz band first.
- Please bring your own ethernet cable if you need Internet access. We are NOT able to offer additional cables. 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz wireless network will also be available. However, for security and reliability concerns, participants are recommended to use the LAN networks first.
- Personal wireless access points ("Hotspots") are not allowed at HITCON. Please connect to the 3G network through USB tethering if you want to use a 3G network adapter or a smartphone to get online.
